If you haven't found the right land yet, we can introduce you to experienced, reputable, and local Realtors with a proven track record of helping clients find the perfect property for their truly unique Winstar Builders Custom Home.

Unlike other builders that might expect you to prepare your homesite and have it build ready before they start – we will do all of that for you.

Every property is unique and as part of your homesite visit and quote, we will estimate the costs involved to prepare your site to be ready to build your new custom home. During your homesite visit, your construction manager will help you determine your home's placement, what site work might be necessary before construction can start, and address any questions or concerns you might have before building starts to ensure the process is as enjoyable and care-free as possible.

As an On Your Lot Builder, we will build your custom home on the land of your choice in Delaware: New Castle, Kent, or Sussex and Maryland: Caroline, Wicomico, Kent, Dorchester, Talbot, Worcester, or Queen Anne’s. From a new family farm to an ideal community or on the ocean or bay, the location is up to you!

Design

That’s the best part of working with a truly custom home builder like Winstar Builders – you can choose, create, or bring any house plan and make as many changes as you want. Want to add another guest bedroom, have higher ceilings, add square footage, or erase a wall, no problem! Financing

Together, we will make your dream home building a smoother and all-inclusive experience from start to finish. You will submit your plans and itemized quote to the lenders of your choice. Our preferred lenders are ready and willing to guide you through the financing process from beginning to end. Some financing options may include: construction loan and lot combined mortgage, flexible down payment options, fixed or adjustable rate options, existing lot/land loan initial repayment, interest-only payments during the construction phase, one application and one closing, locked-in interest rate, one-time documentation, not ready to build lot loans for future home construction, and more. After signing your purchase agreement, we'll guarantee the price throughout the building process, while you secure financing for up to 60 days.

Custom Home Building

A semi-custom homebuilding company offers a variety of house plans with some customization options like making minor floor plan changes if desired. Finish selections like cabinets, countertops, flooring, tile, lightning, ect. are also limited to what is in their specific showroom or design center. For most, upgrades and changes slow down a project, so semi-custom homebuilding companies make some upgrades and changes cost-prohibitive.

Collaboration between yourself, your custom builder, architect, and interior designer results in a truly one-of-a-kind home. As your land is as unique as every Winstar Builders Custom Home, the process of building your dream home depends on the location and size of the build. The Planning and Design process may take one to three months, depending on customization and site work. Once your homesite is ready to build on, construction of your new custom home typically will take four to seven months to complete. Usually, homeowners will be ready to move into their new custom home within six months once construction begins.
